Racism issues: Juxtaposing some more interesting Academic Bahai speeches: MORE T.B.A.
"As
to racial prejudice, the corrosion of which, for well-nigh a century,
has bitten into the fiber, and attacked the whole social structure of
American society, it should be regarded as constituting the most vital
and challenging issue confronting the Bahá'í community at the present
stage of its 34 evolution. The ceaseless exertions which this issue of
paramount importance calls for, the sacrifices it must impose, the care
and vigilance it demands, the moral courage and fortitude it requires,
the tact and sympathy it necessitates, invest this problem, which the
American believers are still far from having satisfactorily resolved,
with an urgency and importance that cannot be overestimated. White and
Negro, high and low, young and old, whether newly converted to the Faith
or not, all who stand identified with it must participate in, and lend
their assistance, each according to his or her capacity, experience, and
opportunities, to the common task of fulfilling the instructions,
realizing the hopes, and following the example, of 'Abdu'l-Bahá. Whether
colored or noncolored, neither race has the right, or can
conscientiously claim, to be regarded as absolved from such an
obligation, as having realized such hopes, or having faithfully followed
such an example. A long and thorny road, beset with pitfalls, still
remains untraveled, both by the white and the Negro exponents of the
redeeming Faith of Bahá'u'lláh. On the distance they cover, and the
manner in which they travel that road, must depend, to an extent which
few among them can imagine, the operation of those intangible influences
which are indispensable to the spiritual triumph of the American
believers and the material success of their newly launched enterprise.

HEARKEN ye, O Rulers of America and the Presidents of the Republics therein, unto that which the Dove is warbling on the Branch of Eternity: There is none other God but Me, the Ever-Abiding, the Forgiving, the All-Bountiful. Adorn ye the temple of dominion with the ornament of justice and of the fear of God, and its head with the crown of the remembrance of your Lord, the Creator of the heavens. Thus counselleth you He Who is the Dayspring of Names, as bidden by Him Who is the All-Knowing, the All-Wise. The Promised One hath appeared in this glorified Station, whereat all beings, both seen and unseen, have rejoiced. Take ye advantage of the Day of God. Verily, to meet Him is better for you than all that whereon the sun shineth, could ye but know it. O concourse of rulers! Give ear unto that which hath been raised from the Dayspring of Grandeur: Verily, there is none other God but Me, the Lord of Utterance, the All-Knowing. Bind ye the broken with the hands of justice, and crush the oppressor who flourisheth with the rod of the commandments of your Lord, the Ordainer, the All-Wise.
The root of all domination and control, all post traumatic slave syndrome is child abuse by the Bahai Writings standard:
"It is difficult to imagine a more reprehensible perversion of human conduct that the sexual abuse of children, which finds its most debased form in incest. At a time in the fortunes of humanity when, in the words of the Guardian, "The perversion of human nature, the degradation of human conduct, the corruption and dissolution of human institutions, reveal themselves...in their worst and most revolting aspects, and when "the voice of human conscience is stilled", when "the sense of decency and shame is obscured," the Bahá'í institutions must be uncompromising and vigilant in their commitment to the protection of the children entrusted to their care, and must not allow either threats or appeals to expediency to divert them from their duty.
\
A parent who is aware that the marriage partner is subjecting a child to such sexual abuse should not remain silent, but must take all necessary measures, with the assistance of the Spiritual Assembly or civil authorities if necessary, to bring about an immediate cessation of such grossly immoral behaviour, and to promote healing and therapy.
